Molly was born in Pennsylvania and began to work professionally as a teenager at Philly's Prince Music Theater. Her first professional production included The Snow Queen. Her nomination was for an Barrymore Award nominee for her part as Little Red Ridinghood at the Arden Theater's production Into the Woods. The actress reprised this role when she made her Broadway debut at 15 in Into the Woods on Broadway in 2002. She was also nominated for an Drama League Award. Molly was also on The Broadway version of Fiddler on the Roof in 2004. She then attended Princeton University and was a member of the Triangle Club. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 2008. Her graduation was in 2008 and she earned an B.A. Also, she appeared in Disney's College Road Trip, playing Wendy Greenhut. Molly was able to begin her professional career after graduating with Off-Broadway performances, including End Days and The Wonderful Maladys at HBO Pilot.
